2007 Porsche 911 Turbo on the track
Porsche currently announced a brand new 911 Turbo S will be making its first appearance in Geneva motor show in March 2010. You will not believe how fast it is. It is faster than the Ferrari 458 Italia. Ferrari 458 Italia does 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds where as the new Porsche 911 Turbo S is 0.1 sec faster than the Red speedster with 0-62mph in 3.3secs. Big news in BBC this morning is all Birmingham Florists are looking to purchase the new 911 to improve their delivery service. I am joking.
Though it would be quite cool to see them deliver birthday flowers, wedding flowers, spring flowers, get well soon flowers, anniversary flowers or funeral flowers in 911. The slogan of the florists will change from delivery within 24 hrs in Birmingham to receive flowers within few seconds in Birmingham.
Actually the best idea would be if Porsche give away a new 911 Turbo S for free to a local florist and then track his or her daily business on TV like a reality TV show. Or may be not.
Back to the car now, unfortunately there is one bad side to this car which is the price. Because it is the fastest Porsche ever made the price has gone up slightly by erm 50% from a normal GT-R which costs around £58,000. In this defence Porsche said that this car is for people who enjoy greater power, performance and driving dynamics, which means to get all that you have to spend just about 50,000 more than a normal Porsche. Here I thought the alloys were made of diamonds. Just joking. I am looking forward to this drive to be honest I have already started saving up for this car even though it might take me next ten years to buy one at this price.
