You will need to have done your theory test and passed it, as well as doing plenty of practice before you take your practical driving test. For most people this is far more difficult than the theory test and having somebody watching them drive can be very off putting. But if you are well prepared before you take this test then you will not find it so intimidating.
- One thing that can be of great benefit is sitting your test in your own car. Unfortunately many people sitting their test won’t be in the lucky position of already having their own motor so this won’t’ be an option. It is very important that you ensure that your car has a valid tax disc, MOT cert and is insured properly if you want to use it to take your driving test. Trying to take your driving examiner for a ride in a dodgy car is probably a sure way to fail.
- Even if you don’t feel very confident you should try to look it when you are taking your test. Sometimes you have to fake it to make it so even if you feel nervous try to act positively and purposely. Do not make clumsy mistakes because you are nervous. Take deep breaths and take your time. Take the time to be positive and give yourself encouragement.
- Get as much relaxation as possible the night before the test and try to go to bed early if you can. You will be more likely to be nervous and jumpy if you are tired and you will probably make more mistakes.
Examiners are there to pass you, as long as you don’t give him a reason not to. Don’t believe people who tell you that the examiner has to fail so many people as this is not true.
It is irrelevant what type of driving license you currently have, if you are searching for a driving related job your future employer is within their rights to check what type of license you have . Driving licence is something which you should take very seriously indeed. Don’t try applying for specific driving jobs without first holding the appropiate license.
