Here In Britain I have to say that a lot of us have a bit of a dislike going when it comes to Traffic Wardens, is this because they enjoy seeing other people suffer. It would seem that many councils have a new way to catch people who park illegally that is both unfair and has many flaws indeed.
Ghost Ticketing is quite a new idea but it is when the local council use their CCTV cameras and catch someone that is parked illegally and send the ticket off that way. One reason that a council is looking to do this is because they are going be making more money from it as a traffic warden can only be at one location at a time, a camera is there 24/7.
Why This Is Bad?
There is a huge flaw when it comes to this idea and it is called a disabled person, I will explain? So the councils that are already participating in these schemes have already stated it is going to be very tough to check each car for a blue badge, well that’s not a waste of time and money then. This is not fair at all for the person that is disabled, they then have to go out of their way to cancel the fine.
What About Crime?
Surely with all of these cameras looking out for parked cars they are going to be missing crimes that occur. It would be very interesting to see if the crime rates rise because of this.
Fair
Using this method means that it is very hard for people to argue against the ticket as they will not even know they have the ticket until it gets popped through the letterbox. Basically this means that people are going to forget the date and time that this happened, no excuses in mind, not fair is it really.
All of this is not going to help you when looking for bad credit car loans as well as cheap lease cars. Parking tickets do also not help when looking for specific deals like gap insurance.
